UMI's rear trailing arms for the fifth generation Camaro incorporate our innovative Roto-Joint technology, providing a bind-free performance and a smooth, comfortable ride quality. The Roto-Joint design features a pivot ball lined with a greaseable delrin race, allowing for 28 degrees of unrestricted movement. This design enhances performance over traditional rubber and polyurethane bushings by enabling correct suspension articulation and precise handling.
The Roto-Joint also absorbs shock and road noise, ensuring a quiet and smooth operation on both street and track vehicles. These trailing arms are designed to minimize wheel hop, optimize caster settings, and improve rear end stability. Fabricated from 1” x 2” rectangular tubing with CNC machined mounting plates, these arms are supplied fully assembled with Roto-Joints for easy installation using basic hand tools.
UMI's Roto-Joint technology offers 28 degrees of total rotation and unrestricted movement, preventing suspension bind and improving traction while reducing wheel hop. Constructed with a 4140 chrome moly, hard chrome plated spherical ball and a delrin race, the Roto-Joint is durable and designed for extensive wear resistance. The adjustable and 100% rebuildable design ensures long-lasting performance.
Additionally, a spanner wrench is included for adjusting and disassembling the Roto-Joints for maintenance and rebuilding. This tool allows for tightening the adjusting ring to apply more pressure to the delrin inside the Roto-Joint, ensuring continued optimal performance.
