Exhaust systems are a great way to enhance the looks, sounds, and performance of your vehicle.

Downpipes are the first part of the exhaust that connects your turbocharger to the rest of your exhaust. Many OEM downpipes are known to be restrictive with their piping diameter. If you are looking for a simple way to increase the horsepower on your turbocharged vehicle, we recommend replacing the OEM downpipe with an aftermarket downpipe. After installing an aftermarket downpipe, you will likely need a tune to adjust for the change in air fuel ratio. After getting a tune, your vehicle should perform better and have a better throttle response.

Far more engineering goes in to the design of an exhaust system than many realise. From a performance perspective, there is a fine balance between exhaust back pressure and exhaust gas velocity. Too large a diameter pipe, and low down power and torque is sacrificed (particularly on naturally aspirated cars), too small a diameter or added restrictions and bottlenecks in the system, and the engine is unable to push gasses out of the combustion chamber efficiently, reducing power and torque. There are many other technical aspects such as "scavenging effect" which are beyond the scope of this document, but the point is, it's not as simple as just strap on a drain pipe and gains for days. A "quality" exhaust system maximizes performance gains by design. Invidia High Performance employ a team of engineers and conduct thorough research and development for every single exhaust component they manufacture, ensuring performance to match the customer's needs in every instance, including the use of the highest quality High Flow Catalytic Converters where applicable.

Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me. For being an out of state experience it made it seem more like they were local to me and that I had known them for longer.
