How does an air intake system work?

An air intake system typically begins with an air intake at the front of the vehicle, which captures and channels air into the system. As the air enters, it passes through an air filter that removes contaminants like dirt and debris. A mass airflow sensor then measures the incoming air, sending this data to the engine's computer to regulate the fuel-to-air ratio. Some systems may also include a resonator or tube to smooth airflow and reduce noise. Finally, the filtered and measured air enters the throttle body, which controls the amount of air entering the engine based on the driver's accelerator input. This air then mixes with fuel in the combustion chamber, where it ignites and provides power to drive the engine.
