Sinister Diesel uses aluminum tubing with a CNC mandrel bend, ensuring smooth airflow through the cold air intake. High-grade silicone couplings resist high temperatures. The cotton filter is washable, so you don’t need to replace it. All mounting hardware comes included and installation is simple.

  • Q: I know it is stronger and looks better, but doesn't aluminum conduct more heat than plastic?
  • A: From a technical standpoint, aluminum will conduct heat a little better because it is metal, but the thin walled tubing allows the heat to dissipate from the moving air much faster. The issue with a plastic intake tubing is that while it takes just as much time to heat up, it takes a considerable amount more time to dissipate that heat build up, also known as heat soak, within the tubing. Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me. For being an out of state experience it made it seem more like they were local to me and that I had known them for longer.
