Description

NRG's Polished Hood Dampers made for your stock hood. These units allow the hood to remain up and stable even under high wind conditions and were thoroughly tested for repeated use to avoid injuries while working on a vehicle caused by the hood falling off on an individual. With the use of oil filled shocks and lightweight dampening for lightened hood applications, these dampers have Lift-Assist and Slow-Decline features that provide a safer work area and a way to exhibit modifications under the hood.

Stainless steel with lightweight alloy shaft and casing with hydraulic oil seals end links for mounting points for durability and heat resistance. Weighs in at only 200g on average, the NRG Hood Damper is a must-have addition to any hood prop vehicle.

The danger of working under the hood is that there is a possibility of the hood accidentally closing. With the addition of NRG hood dampers this possible dangerous scenario is greatly reduced. NRG offers dampers in full and low pressure depending on whether the vehicle is equipped with a heavy factory hood or an aftermarket lightweight FRP/CF hood.

Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me. For being an out of state experience it made it seem more like they were local to me and that I had known them for longer.
