Crossover Pipes & Collectors

Balance dual exhaust flow, join separate banks, or build a clean transition with properly sized crossover pipes and collectors. Shop X-pipes, H-pipes, Y-pipes, merge collectors, and exhaust adapters in multiple diameters, materials, angles, and connection styles for direct-fit and custom systems.

These components do more than fill space between pipes. Their position, branch angle, collector length, and outlet size can affect packaging, sound, pulse interaction, and compatibility with the rest of the exhaust. Elite Race Fab offers crossover and collector components for street, race, truck, and fabrication projects. Measure outside diameter, centerline spacing, ground clearance, and the sections on both sides before cutting or welding.

Balance Exhaust Pulses and Build Clean Transitions

Dual-exhaust systems often use a crossover to connect the two banks. X and H layouts package and blend pulses differently, while Y pipes combine two paths into one or split a single path into dual outlets. The right layout depends on available space, engine firing characteristics, pipe diameter, transmission and driveshaft clearance, and the sound character you want.

Collectors handle a different but related job by bringing multiple header primaries into a larger outlet. Merge angle, transition length, outlet size, and alignment with the next pipe all matter. Abrupt steps, poor weld penetration, and mismatched diameters can create turbulence, leaks, or unnecessary restriction in an otherwise well-built system.

Measure outside diameter, wall thickness, centerline spacing, branch angle, and total length before cutting. Match materials when possible and plan where the system needs removable connections for transmission, clutch, differential, or engine service. A clean transition is valuable, but a system that cannot be installed or serviced without being cut apart is not a finished design.
