Description

Connecting rods are one of the most important components in your high performance engine. It is important that the rods you put in your engine are made from the highest quality materials and are manufactured correctly. Eagle is well know for the quality connecting rods they produce. Each rod is multi-stage heat-treated, x-rayed, sonic tested, magnafluxed, 100 percent machined, and shot-peened to stress-relieve the metal. They can be found in almost any application from street cars to drag cars.

Eagle's H-beam connecting rods are meticulously crafted from certified 4340 chromoly steel, a material renowned for its exceptional strength and durability. It's important to note that not all 4340 steel is identical; variations in alloying elements, such as nickel content, can significantly influence the material's properties. Eagle collaborates closely with their foundry to maintain stringent tolerances for these elements, ensuring a consistently robust and reliable product.

A distinctive feature of Eagle's rods is their two-piece forging process. This method involves forging the rod cap separately, aligning the metal's grain structure with the direction of applied stress. Such grain orientation enhances the rod's strength and fatigue resistance, leading to a longer service life.

Eagle's dedication to quality and innovation has established them as a leading manufacturer in the aftermarket connecting rod and crankshaft industry. By continually refining their designs, materials, and manufacturing techniques, they strive to produce components that are lighter, stronger, and more efficient, meeting the evolving demands of high-performance applications.
