The 5702 can be used in place of the standard trumpet on all GFB valves, and will make the whistling sound more readily than the 5701 (high boost and RPM is required to get the whistle from a 5701), and at a slightly higher pitch.? Like the 5701 however, it is necessary to run the valve so that all (or most) of the air vents through the trumpet ? Respons valves will typically not generate the velocity required to whistle when set to 50/50 venting.
Forced induction components mainly consist of supercharger or turbocharger parts that are used to make significant power gains on your vehicle. If you are looking for a significant increase in horsepower, look no further than forced induction.
From the very beginning of my career, I’ve learnt that it’s amazing where tinkering can take you. I’ve been engineering for 35 years, including 10 years manufacturing components for the automotive market including Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM). I’ve been determined to push the limits of high performance engines since I was tinkering with my Mini Cooper S in the ‘80s. When I bought my WRX in 1997, I decided to step it up a knotch and get serious. At first, I bought components ‘off the shelf’. Most of these were expensive and imported. Indeed, this was true for the Australian-made ones too. Nothing, however, came even close to the quality I knew they should be, as they were made of inferior materials and of generally poor workmanship, and did not give me the performance gains I was looking for. So I started designing, testing and developing “GO FAST BITS”, a range of innovative and high-quality blow-off valves, boost controllers, pulley kits and short shifters. These products, unlike what was previously available, were meticulously designed and manufactured from the highest grade materials, working the way they were designed to. Performance should not be about compromise – parts should fit correctly and deliver real performance outcomes, without making the car difficult to live with on a daily basis. GFB now has three qualified engineers (mechanical and mechatronic), and a team of dedicated enthusistic & passionate individuals who make the GFB name what it is today. “GO FAST BITS” products are Proudly Australian, made in accordance with the ISO 9001 quality management system. Constantly we’re developing new, and innovative products. Keep an eye on the website for the latest of GFB’s innovations.
Whistling Trumpet
You asked, we delivered. Many times we have been asked for a replacement trumpet that gives a different sound, and here it is.
5702-image-1The ability to change the sound of a blow-off valve is increasingly becoming an important issue with buyers, who want to sound different from everyone else.
In 2004, GFB released the Whistling Trumpet (part # 5701), which emitted a piercing screech when driving aggressively. Unfortunately for a number of GFB owners, the 5701 trumpet only worked with some valve types.
For the owners of all other types of GFB valves, we have now released the 5702 – a modified version of the Whistling Trumpet that is designed to work on low boost applications where the 5701 doesn’t cut it.
The 5702 can be used in place of the standard trumpet on all GFB valves, and will make the whistling sound more readily than the 5701 (high boost and RPM is required to get the whistle from a 5701), and at a slightly higher pitch. Like the 5701 however, it is necessary to run the valve so that all (or most) of the air vents through the trumpet – Respons valves will typically not generate the velocity required to whistle when set to 50/50 venting.
This part is recommended for Respons and Deceptor Pro II valves EXCLUDING T9003 & T9503
