The Skunk2 Alpha Valve Spring and Titanium Retainer Kit for Honda D16 VTEC engines is engineered to deliver unmatched valvetrain control, strength, and performance at high RPM. Designed through years of real-world racing and dyno testing, this kit combines dual high-tensile chrome-silicone valve springs with ultralight titanium retainers to reduce valvetrain mass, increase engine response, and support sustained operation at engine speeds exceeding 10,000 rpm.
Each Alpha spring is precision wound from super-clean chrome-silicone wire milled in Japan and paired in an inner/outer dual-spring design with slightly different frequencies. This configuration minimizes resonance, prevents valve float, and ensures consistent spring pressure across the entire rev range.
The included Alpha Titanium Retainers are precision CNC-machined from medical-grade titanium and optimized using 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for ideal strength-to-weight characteristics. Their lightweight design significantly reduces valvetrain mass, improving throttle response and increasing power while maintaining long-term reliability.
Every retainer is serialized and quality inspected for dimensional accuracy, ensuring perfect fitment, valve seal clearance, and dependable performance under extreme racing conditions.
