History and information about JBA and their products.

JBA PERFORMANCE dates back to 1987, when they adopted as their goal the designing and manufacturing of an aftermarket performance exhaust product that was smog legal yet powerful enough for the performance driver and of high quality and durability. The result of this endeavor was the direct replacement "SHORTY” HEADERS for the 5.0L Mustang proving to be a boon to the performance driver who loved their Mustang but had to pass emissions standards in their states. This Mustang header was the solution that proved to be easy to install and of inimitable quality. Emboldened by the success of the Mustang header and with an ever-increasing need for emission legal products, JBA PERFORMANCE launched new exhaust products for other vehicles, from Mustang and Camaro headers to exhausts for GM, Dodge, Jeep, Nissan and Toyota. Today, JBA exhaust products are the most comprehensive in the 50 states for being “smog” legal, and they have never sacrificed performance or quality. In 2008, JBA PERFORMANCE became part of the well-respected PETRONIX PERFORMANCE PRODUCTS group that can trace its roots back to 1962.The resultant merging of JBA PERFORMANCE with PETRONIX afforded a more efficient production process. JBA exhausts are renowned in the aftermarket performance exhaust industry, most notably for the CAT4WARD HEADERS and JBA FIRECONE merged collectors that were a hit at the 2004 SEMA show. You can get these Mustang headers for your V-8 on the LM PERFORMANCE website with its patented FIRECONE collector that eases the transitions between the primary tube and the collector maintaining the direction and speed of the exhaust flow culminating in increased power.

When you add a JBA exhaust to your iconic Mustang, you might wonder what kind of power gain you can expect, and on a fuel injected V-8 engine, you should see 10 to 25 horsepower gains and about the same in torque. Looks like I get to be the first review for these guys. Let me start out by saying that I have had 3 other cars of a similar caliber to my GTR serviced/worked on and upgrades installed at other shops and none took the pride and level of detail that these guys did. I wish I could see all the welds on the downpipes and exhaust because it looked like artwork. Their fabricator made sure to send me daily updates and pictures which was also a big deal to me. For being an out of state experience it made it seem more like they were local to me and that I had known them for longer.
