Comp Cams Part Number 12-600-8 is a Thumpr 227/241 hydraulic roller camshaft designed for Chevrolet Small Block 262–400 engines (1958–1998). This grind delivers the signature Thumpr aggressive idle along with strong mid-range power and crisp throttle response. Ideal for street/performance builds seeking both sound and performance, operating effectively in the 1,900–5,600 RPM range.
Important Note:
This camshaft must be used with a melanized or nitrided distributor gear. It is not compatible with standard cast or steel gears without matching surface treatment. Failure to use the proper gear voids all warranties and return policies.
