The Garrett PowerMax™ Stage 1 Turbocharger is a direct-fit performance upgrade for the 1999.5–2003 Ford Power Stroke 7.3L diesel engine. Engineered to deliver increased performance while retaining OEM fitment, this turbocharger is ideal for enthusiasts seeking improved airflow, lower exhaust temperatures, and superior durability.

The GTP38R turbocharger features Garrett's exclusive ball bearing cartridge, eliminating the traditional thrust bearing to enhance durability under elevated boost conditions. The 88mm GT compressor wheel delivers up to 33% more flow than the factory 80mm wheel. A ported shroud and 1.00 A/R turbine housing work together to reduce exhaust backpressure and improve throttle response, with up to a 200°F drop in exhaust gas temperatures. This unit is SEMA certified (SC-GRT01-0005) for emissions compliance.
