The Girodisc A1-145 Front Iron Rotor Conversion is designed for Corvette C6 ZR1 and C7 models equipped with factory carbon ceramic (CCM) brakes. This system replaces the OEM ceramic front rotors with a high-performance iron rotor setup that delivers improved thermal stability, broader brake pad selection, and significantly lower replacement costs—ideal for aggressive street driving and track use.
To maintain optimal rotor weight and performance, this conversion uses a smaller pad annulus than the factory CCM system. The required FMSI 1405 pad shape allows for excellent heat management without the unnecessary mass that would result from matching the oversized CCM pad swept area. Once installed, only the cast iron rotor rings need to be replaced during service intervals, making this a cost-effective long-term braking solution. Sold and priced as a front pair.
