R1 OPTIMUM OEp Brake Pads Series:
R1 OPTIMUM OEp Series Brake Pads are engineered for drivers seeking dependable daily braking characteristics tailored to the requirements of the individual vehicle application. Using Original Equipment formulation technology, the OEp Series is designed to provide consistent pedal feel, smooth brake response, low noise and reduced brake dust while maintaining rotor-friendly everyday performance. Unlike a single universal friction compound, OPTIMUM OEp formulations vary by application so the pad characteristics can better match the vehicle's braking system.
R1 OPTIMUM OEp pads use integrally molded friction material and application-specific construction designed around OE-style replacement requirements. Depending on the vehicle, the friction composition may be Ceramic, Low-Metallic or Semi-Metallic. The series uses a 100% asbestos-free formulation and incorporates features such as hooked backing plate technology and slotted or chamfered pad designs where applicable. This pads-only series does not include mounting hardware; required hardware and wear sensors must be matched to the individual application when specified.
