R1 Super Heavy Duty Brake Pads Series:

R1 Super Heavy Duty Series Brake Pads are engineered for work trucks, SUVs, vans and other demanding applications that experience increased brake-pad wear from daily use, towing, hauling and frequent braking. The premium semi-metallic formulation is designed to provide durable, consistent braking while supporting quieter operation, reduced brake dust and rotor-friendly street performance. The series is especially suited to everyday work duty, light towing and hauling, with support for some off-road use on applicable vehicles.

R1 Super Heavy Duty pads use integrally molded friction material with rubber-steel-rubber noise-control shim construction, a friction underlayer, positive molding and scorched friction surfaces. Pad shapes are slotted and chamfered where applicable, and the series uses a 100% asbestos-free formulation. This brake pad kit includes application-specific mounting hardware; exact pad quantity, wear-sensor requirements and brake position vary by vehicle and should be matched to the individual R1 part number.
