Skunk2’s Alpha Lite Connecting Rods are engineered for Honda’s D16A and ZC SOHC engines, delivering exceptional strength in a lightweight design. CNC-machined from forged 4340 chromoly steel, these rods feature a refined H-beam design and are optimized using Finite Element Analysis to achieve excellent strength-to-weight ratios.
Each rod is heat treated, tempered, and shot-peened for fatigue resistance and longevity. The Lite Spec version is lighter than the standard Alpha rods, making them ideal for high-RPM applications where rotating mass is critical. High-strength ARP2000 bolts (3/8", 220,000 psi tensile strength) are included for secure and durable installation.
Note: Not compatible with OEM-style pistons. Compatible with most aftermarket pistons without machining. Modification to the girdle and/or block is necessary for installation.
