The Skunk2 Alpha Titanium Retainers are lightweight, high-strength upgrades for Honda K-Series valvetrains. Designed to significantly reduce valvetrain mass and improve RPM stability, these retainers deliver more horsepower while ensuring reliability at high engine speeds. Developed with the same design philosophy as Skunk2's Pro Series retainers, the Alpha Retainers offer excellent performance and value for street and mild racing applications.
Each retainer is CNC-machined from medical-grade titanium, optimized through 3D CAD and FEA, and individually inspected for dimensional accuracy. The result is a precision component featuring lightening grooves, reduced height for better valve seal clearance, and radius-cut edges for enhanced rocker arm clearance—all contributing to reduced inertia and increased efficiency.
Important: When using on 2004+ engines, pre-2004 OEM keepers/locks must be used to ensure proper fitment. Not compatible with Skunk2 Ultra or BMF camshafts.
