The Skunk2 Alpha Valve Spring & Ti Retainer Kit is a comprehensive valvetrain upgrade for B16, B17, and B18 VTEC engines. This kit combines Skunk2’s dual-rate Alpha valve springs—designed to control valve float above 10,000 rpm—with lightweight, race-proven titanium retainers to reduce valvetrain mass and improve engine response.
Alpha springs are manufactured from super-clean chrome-silicone wire milled in Japan and use matched inner and outer coils with slightly different frequencies to maintain stability under high RPM. The included titanium retainers feature radius-cut edges, lightening grooves, and optimized geometry for a low-profile, strong, and light-weight design. Each retainer is serialized and quality-inspected to ensure accuracy and performance.
