Stainless Bros flex joints are designed to introduce controlled movement into an exhaust system so engine motion, thermal expansion and chassis movement are not transferred directly into rigid tubing and welds. Current Stainless Bros SS304 flex joints use an interlock liner, and the company notes that the ends are ground flat to support accurate welding. Diameter and overall length determine where the joint fits in the system. Install the flex section with adequate clearance and without forcing it to compensate for major exhaust misalignment.
Fabrication Note: Confirm material grade, tubing size, wall thickness, connection style and all listed dimensions before cutting or welding. Custom-fabrication components are generally not vehicle-specific unless an exact engine, turbocharger or sensor application is stated in the product details.
