Tanabe 19-21 Toyota RAV4 Sustec Tower Bar Plus, Front for 2025 Rav4 Plugin
I reviewed a number of different strut braces for my application and settled on the Cusco and the Tanabe. Cusco showis that it works, but mods are needed on the passenger side bracket. I did not want to make any mods to my Rav since it is brand new. I dug a bit more and saw a couple photos of the Tanabe installed on an earlier Rav4 Prime so I cantacted Elite and the person there noted that it probably did not fit from the information they had. I took a gamble since their company return policiy looked solid and I felt that from what I had seen, it would work. The package arrived on time and I noticed right away that they did a really good job of packing their products . First thing, I position monting plates where they would be positioned. Sure enough a perfect fit for my Plugin with no mods need...I was really happy. The install was very simple and they even included some hard tubing covers for areas where the crossbar would come close to touching. It is a well designed bar and a nice look with the reddish powder coating andTanabe logo. The real test was to take it for a drive and one particular spot I wanted to compare to was a middle turn lane for a street I often take as a shortcut. That turn lane is on a bank and then when you get over the bank on that left turn onto that street, it dips down quickly. I would always get a wobble on my old car there and when I got the new Rav, there was still a slight wobble dealing with the road transition. Now when I take the turn, there is very little wobble at all and I even notice a more stable and controlled suspension response on tight turns. For the simplicity of install and the end result, this was a no brainer. I checked the Japan site and see that this s specific for the PHEV Rav models. Solid "A"s for both Tanabe and Elite.
