The TEIN STREET BASIS Z is designed for Accord owners who want a lower ride height without the extra setup involved in adjustable-damping coilovers. It's a straightforward suspension package with threaded spring-seat height adjustment, matched springs, and dampers tuned for street use.
Unlike TEIN's STREET ADVANCE Z and FLEX Z systems, STREET BASIS Z has fixed damping. You can't adjust shock firmness, but you can change the ride height within TEIN's specified range. The system uses twin-tube dampers and retains the vehicle's factory upper mounts.
For a daily-driven Accord, the appeal is simplicity: you can set a lower stance without having to work through multiple damping settings. The suspension remains designed around ordinary street driving rather than a dedicated track setup.
Part GSHD6-8USS2 covers selected ninth-generation Honda Accord Sedan and Coupe applications.
The kit uses 6 kg/mm front springs and 4 kg/mm rear springs. Both front and rear positions reuse the original upper mounts, so this kit does not include camber-adjustable front plates or pillowball mounts.
