The Ford Mustang is renowned for its exceptional low end torque and impressive 60-foot times. However, its rear control arm mounting points are known to be weak, leading to cracks and damage over time. Reinforcements for the upper and lower control arm mounting points are essential for racing and aggressive driving.
The upper kit is specifically designed to strengthen these areas, especially when using aftermarket control arms and polyurethane bushings. The reinforcements can be either welded or bolted in and include grade 8 hardware with detailed installation instructions. Installation typically takes around 2½ hours. The reinforcements come in bare metal for welding and require painting after installation.
