Description

The Wilwood DynaPro Single Lightweight (DPS-LW) brake caliper is the newest evolution in Wilwood’s “Dyna” series, engineered as a direct upgrade or replacement for earlier Dynalite Single (DLS) calipers. Designed for maximum strength, reduced deflection, and compact packaging, the DPS-LW delivers improved braking efficiency while maintaining clearance in tight applications such as sprint car front ends and custom performance setups.

CNC-machined from premium billet aluminum, the DPS-LW caliper features an FEA-optimized body design with reinforced bridge and piston housing transitions. This strengthened structure significantly reduces caliper flex under load, resulting in increased clamping force, reduced fluid displacement, and firmer pedal feel with less travel.

Wilwood performance enhancements include Quick-E-Clip top-loading pad retention for fast pad changes without caliper removal, stainless steel pistons for heat management and corrosion resistance, and replaceable stainless steel SRS bridge plates to eliminate pad rattle, reduce wear, and suppress brake noise. Internal fluid passages and four corner bleed screws allow flexible mounting in front, rear, left, or right positions.
