Yukon Gear YPKGM8.2-BOP-P-28 is a replacement spider gear and positraction internal kit for GM 8.2-inch Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac differentials equipped with a Yukon Dura Grip positraction unit and 28-spline axles. The kit includes the major internal gears and hardware needed to replace worn or damaged spider gear components while retaining the existing compatible Dura Grip differential.
This kit includes two 28-spline side gears, four pinion gears, a cross-pin shaft, roll pin, and spider gear thrust washers, giving differential builders a complete internal spider gear replacement package. It is a useful solution when the internal gears, thrust washers, or cross-pin components have become worn or damaged but the Dura Grip carrier itself remains serviceable.
The YPKGM8.2-BOP-P-28 is specifically designed for Yukon Dura Grip applications and does not include differential clutches. Its GM 8.2-inch BOP fitment covers a variety of classic Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac muscle-car and full-size applications, including select Skylark, 442, Cutlass, Firebird, GTO, LeMans, Tempest, Catalina, Bonneville, and Grand Prix models.
