Yukon Gear YPKGM8.2-P-28 is a replacement spider gear and positraction internal kit for GM 8.2-inch differentials equipped with a Yukon Dura Grip positraction and 28-spline axles. It is designed specifically for the Dura Grip carrier and provides the internal gear components needed to replace worn or damaged spider gears while retaining the existing differential assembly.
The kit includes two 28-spline side gears, four pinion gears, a cross-pin shaft, roll pin, and spider gear thrust washers. This gives builders the core components needed to refresh the internal gear set when the side gears, pinion gears, thrust washers, or related hardware show wear or damage.
YPKGM8.2-P-28 fits Yukon Dura Grip positraction units only and does not include clutch components. The GM 8.2-inch axle was used across a wide range of classic Chevrolet muscle cars and full-size platforms, making this kit a useful choice for restoration, performance builds, and differential rebuilding involving the correct 28-spline Dura Grip setup.
